Router 1 is connected to our ISP but is in another building. We have a wire between the buildings. Router 2 is connected to Router 1 using this wire. Router 2 is a Belkin N1. We want to access Router 2 via wireless.

We can get to Router 2 via an Android phone and an iPad. We are on the internet this way. We can see a server we have wired to Router 1. So far so good!

We have an Epson Artison 810 printer in the outbuilding. We would love to get this to operate on the network via wireless. The Artison says it found the Belkin router and it has a connection. But, we cannot get to this printer from the PCs attached to Router 1.

I think this problem is called "printing to printer attached to subnet".

What do I need to do?

Use manual config on the Artisan to assign an IP, and disable DHCP access? Something else?

We try to print and the output spools but never prints.

So I used the procedure on the "Convert my wireless router into an access point" link on the Belkin.
1. I assigned 192.168.0.200,
2. turned DHCP off
3. made the range 192.168.201 to 192.168.0.240

Restarted the router and then plugged the Belkin into the wire from the other router, using a LAN port not WAN port as called for on
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/36406-43-convert-wireless-router-wireless-access-point

My Android phone soon found the Belkin again and I was on the internet promptly.

On the printer front panel, I used the Advanced functions in the Network setup. I set IP address to 192.168.0.222, Subnet mask to 255.255.255.0, Default Gateway to 192.168.0.10, Primary DNS to 192.168.0.10

And that was it! Thanks!
