Hello, I am considering buying both a gaming desktop with a $300 monitor and a laptop that can at least run minecraft. Is it worth it to get a laptop with a desktop? My budget is $1600. Please recommend just a laptop and I will adjust my desktop according to the price.

yes, it's worth it, that's what i been doing for years, i bought a laptop and a dekstop all these years. it doesn't hurt to have two computers, it's very conveinent. as for what type of laptop and desktop. well, dell has online coupons that knock off the price down, it's very hard to compete with that. right now it's at 25 percent off, which is very helpful. hope this helps. i personally only use a dual cpu desktop. it's fast as hell.

That is even better than a relative's build which they use to play Minecraft with (with the exception of CPU, their build has an i3-4340), and they normally average about 100+ FPS. They can even record with FRAPS with no issues which is known to cause issues. They also only have 4 GBs of 1333 MHz RAM, and a Radeon HD 6670. So this build will be perfect for you.

If not then I'll let HiTechObsessed help you out :)
