Usually setting like that are found on the router itself under QOS (quality of service). From there if your bandwidth is not too low( like 1Mb) you can set how much they can get. I think this is even easier if you can set up a guest account for the router as well.

No problem, but I don't think there is a program for that. Thinking about it logically, the internet would have to stream from your computer then. With routers internet comes from the line straight to the device. So with that, I would have to say you need to disable the wireless, i'm going on a hunch that this is a modem/router, and connect your current device to a different router with QOS and do it that way. Otherwise I doubt there is much you can do other than tell them to limit what they do.

That site is very close to a scam for uneducated people. The first couple pages of their manual clearly show you have to put a dedicated PC between the router and the internet. If they put that on their pretty web pages most people would know they were wasting their time.

All this is a firewall software package. There are many free ones available. You still have the issue that you can not place a PC between many routers and the internet particularly the ones that have built in modems.

With a wireless broadband device you are really stuck. Normally I would recommend third party firmware such as gargoyle that has the ability to keep data caps but there is no chance to run that on your device. There is no way to insert a PC between the broadband signal coming into the house the the wireless/wired signal being sent to the end devices.

You are really going to not have much choice but to replace the router or disable the wireless on this one and place another router between.

I would not recommend you share a wireless broadband connection. First most have monthly caps....but that may be why you are asking your question I suppose... The other is most do not perform real well under a heavy load...LTE is a little better.

WiMax is pretty much a dying technology. Although it does work ok everyone else worldwide went with LTE. Even sprint/clear that were first to market with high speed wireless broadband using WiMAX are moving to use only LTE in the future.

i will be more glad and happy if u can explain me this plz "All this is a firewall software package. There are many free ones available" im newbie about internet and connection ...

and about the "That site is very close to a scam for uneducated people" well, i have no idea, but i think their program is close to what im looking for, and the lite version will cost 99$ coz it is not cheap..

thx again

Again this is why it is a misleading. Go read the documentation on the product. In the very first part of the manual they say you need a PC with 2 nic cards. This "software" must run a machine that is placed between the end users and the internet. You have no way to place the machine because both the modem and the wireless router are in the same device.

That requires its own PC. Sits between your router, and another router or WiFi source. Also this, for simultaneous connections: "Demo version limits this number to 3,"

There are many, many applications like that that are absolutely free. There is zero reason to spend money on that.

Posting on an older topic, sort of confused why you aren't buy and use another router. I can understand a company giving you a modem, that is usually standard. But a router can take an Ethernet connection and broadcast it. I can believe a company restricting what modem you use but I can't really believe a country actively telling you, you can't use any routers other than the ones supplied. (it would sort of defeat the purpose is your signal doesn't go out far enough).

You need to look up what the device he is using is since I thought the same.

He is using a cellular broadband hotspot. You are extremely restricted when you deal with cell providers. The only modem only devices they make are USB things that you need a specialized router to use.
