I replaced my MSI 990FXA-GD65 Mobo with the Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.01, everything else stayed the here:

AMD FX-8120 Processor
16gb Patriot PG34G1333EL
2x Nvidia GTX 560
1 256gb SSD (OS Installed)
2x 1TB Harddrive

I could get into BIOS on boot up no problem, however from there it might freeze trying to boot into win8.1 cd to install, might freeze during install, if I was able to actually get through installation it would always freeze after reset to finish installation.

I could sometimes even get into Windows 8.1 and play around for a bit but it would always freeze eventually (longest I lasted was maybe 1 hour). After that I would boot into a BSOD or a Windows failed to launch, corrupted, etc.

I tried unplugging my other harddrives, Unplugging my SSD to install on standard HDD, tried removing 1 videocard then trying with the other, all with no success. CPU and Mobo temperatures are normal.

I am lost and quite frustrated. I'm guessing it's the Mobo that is defective, put could it be something else? Processor maybe?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you
