Is a g7 power extreme 780w psu enough to run a gtx 590? I just installed the psu but the logo on the gpu blinks, and there is a red lightning bolt symbol on the case? Please help

I've never heard of that brand. If it was a cheap, no-name PSU, then no, and you may be putting your system at risk trying to use it. How much did it cost, and does it have any level of 80+ certification?

Amidst all the positive reviews that say nothing about the operating conditions (the average PC may not need 200W), the first one, a negative one, indicated this unit can't hack a 400W load. Skip it; it appears to be overrated junk. Look for 80+ Bronze (and confirm on the 80plus.org web site) except Cooler Master (which is NOT good). You should be able to find a Seasonic-built XFX PSU around 650W which should work well for you.
