I recently purchased battlefield 4 on pc, after around 2 games of playing my screen suddenly went black and made some odd noises, my pc was still on but my monitor was completely blank until I rebooted my pc. Could this be a sign of my graphics card overheating?

My specs:

AMD-FX 8350

8gb ddr3 corsair vengeance ram

Asus Radeon HD 7870 2GB graphics card

Nothing in my pc is overclocked, everything is at stock speeds.

Atm I only have a cheap one out of an old pc it's a 750w but it isn't a branded power supply, I know I shouldn't really be using it but it's all I have right now. If I was to buy a new power supply (Corsair Builder Series CXM 750W) do you think this will fix my problem?

Unfortunately not, how could I test this? I'm sorry if these are obvious questions I'm new to pc gaming.

So, I played for around 15 minutes with the programme running, these are the results I got:

CPU: Minimum: 37°C Maximum: 67°C

GPU: Minimum: 36°C Maximum: 73°C

Mainboard: Minimum: 30°C Maximum: 37°C
