Hey guys i recently bought DDR3 Corsair Vengeance 1866mhz 2x4 RAM. Currently i have 8GB of the same RAM installed, but when i try to put in the other 2 sticks, my computer won't boot up fully.

It won't read my keyboard, mouse, and monitors as well. The monitors will be on but with the orange light being up.

What i did do was try one stick and put it into each slot. The first two slots made the computer boot fully, the last two didn't. I'm hoping it's not a motherboard problem because my computer is only two months old tops.

Would love to get some feedback asap. Thank you!

Yes i have tried each stick individually. All the sticks work in the first two slots, when it gets to the second two it doesn't boot up properly.

They are the same exact set of RAM. And timings of all the RAM sticks correct? I will check on that asap.

I have checked all the timings and they are all 9-9-9-24. And I put each stick into the first spot and they all seem to be working just fine. And that goes with the second slot as well. When I reach the third and fourth they dont boot it up all the way again.

Ya, currently i'm running 8GB of ram on 1600. Because when i put in the full 16 it doesn't boot up all the way. No "starting windows" screen, no login screen, no nothing. So i have to take out the other 8 in order for it to boot.

The problem with that is, when i put in all 4 sticks, it won't read anything. My monitors, keyboard, mouse, other usb devices, etc. It'll turn on but i'll get no feed from my monitors. I've also tried with 3 sticks, same scenario pops up. My screens will just be black and my monitors will have the orange light on. So it won't let me reach the bios. Does that make sense? Maybe my wording is a bit weird >.<

The lights will turn on, the fans will start moving, but it won't turn on completely.

try going into bios with sticks in slot 1,3 not 2 this is dual channel setup

go into bios reset bios to default settings power down add other 2 sticks try to go into bios

also disconnect your gpu power cable to rule out psu, but it shouldnt be because the power draw for ram is rather low

Hm, it seems as if what you're saying about dual channel isn't working. Because it mainly worked with it being in slots 1 and 2.

When I tried slots 1-3 and 2-4, they would not work.

The slots they're in are light blue and black. There are two black slots and 2 light blue slots. With that being said, it is currently I'm one light blue slot and one black slot. Is that bad?

Hm, that's what one of the other techs in the memory forum was hinting to, and I have not checked it yet.

I will check once I get back home later on tonight. I'll keep you updated.
