I just brought home the OEM version of Win 7 for a PC I bought on Ebay. I have read that the Windows software becomes associated with the motherboard so I am wondering if Microsoft would detect this. I have not opened the box of software yet and want to make sure this is going to fly. Secondly, should I or do I need to install the OPK software on the new computer?

Thanks for your help here.

Phil

If it is a Windows install that you bought from a legal source, then you are fine. That license will be linked to your motherboard.
Not the other way around.

And no, you don't need to mess with the OPK.
