If been trying to find as much information as possible on AMD desktop motherboards that support ECC ram. So far, the info I've come up with has been sketchy or unreliable. Has anyone compiled a list?

I ask, because I recently replaced my trusty Tyan S2915E based system with the following build at a significant discount:

*Asus Sabertooth R2.0 990FX
*AMD FX-8350
*Kingston 32GB DDR3 1600MHZ PC3 12800 ECC ram
*Cooler Master GeminII S524
*XFX Double D FX-795A-TDKC Radeon HD7950 Black Edition 3GB
*Areca ARC-1224-8i PCI-Express 2.0x8 SATA/SAS Raid Controller
*4X WD VelociRaptor 10K SATAIII 500GB
*LG 14X BD
*Coolmax ZU Series ZU-900B 900W ATX12/EPS12V power supply
*Fractal Design Define XL R2 case

I saved a chunk of cash by opting for the FX processor and the desktop board. Since I don't OC much, I really prefer the ECC. I'm convinced my builds have been much more stable and reliable since I switched.

So far, ASUS is the only one who confesses to supporting ECC in it's bios. Are there any others?

The FX-8350 doesn't support ECC as far as I know, so you won't be able to use ECC memory with it anyway.

According to their specs, the Sabertooth only supports unbuffered, non-ECC DRAM. Believe there are some that support ECC, but wouldn't mess with it, that's still more or less considered a server niche item (and many servers are getting away from it), todays DDR3 is very reliable

Actually it does. . . I'm trying to identify more motherboards that do. . .

Check out the Google ECC ram study of 2009. . .

I'm sure that in the four years since, quality has improved, but then the same would hold for ECC. I would rather have the reliability. I can't remember the last time I've seen a blue screen. And it usually can be identified as bad software.
