The acer has 2GB Graphic card and decent CPU so its good for gaming.
The HP has a very good CPU but it doesnt include extra GPU, so is not good for gaming.
If you wanna make video rending, use heavy programs etc. take the HP.
If you wanna play games mostly and do some other things take the Acer.

Neither laptop is really suited for gaming really. I would take the HP over the Acer for either one....gaming OR just heavy programs. The speed of the graphics processor in the Acer isn't squat. LOL You won't get anything useful out of it.

Here is a site comparing the two different graphics processors:

http://www.game-debate.com/gpu/index.php?gid=1437&gid2=...

The NVidia 720M is only 15% faster than that of the HD 4600 graphics that are on the HP. That said, go with the HP no matter what you will be doing mostly with it. The better CPU in the HD may even make it superior to the Acer in the gaming department.

Even in your link you can see that GT720M is way better from Intel 4600, 400mhz clock vs 925mhz ?. Anyway.
I stand what i said.

Acer=Gaming and some other things.
HP=Heavy programs and some gaming.

There just isn't enough performance there to call it "gaming".
And I stand by saying that. LOL :D

Gentleman Thanks for your replies!!

Both make solid points.

I will we using it for programming mostly. EE student.

Languages: C/C++/Java. Mostly short/medium programs.

Programs: IDES, matlab, circuit desing soft, some solidworks.

I wont be using it for gaming. I use my desktop for that!!.

The HP seems more solid, and a , but the good reviews on the ACER got me confused.

I think HP is more trust worthy, but this ACER machine seems to be good.

Anyway, we can conclude that the HP one is better for what I intend to do, right?.

Thank you both.

Thank you both!.

Very valuable information.

Voted 3Dns as best answer, because it can help other people reading this post.

I agree with him.

Acer for medium gaming, and HP for heavy programs.

See you around.
