Hello!

Looking to purchase parts in a few days to last me a couple of years. I do require everything such as a monitor, keyboard, OS, and whatnot. I would like the option of adding a second or third monitor this summer too.

I'm pretty new to building computers and haven't had a desktop in a few years. I'm also not looking to overclock or anything. My absolute max budget, after shipping + rebates, would be $1300.

I do photography and video editing so memory and storage are a primary concern of mine. I'm looking, ballpark wise, at least at 16 GB + 2 TB.

Other than that I do some gaming. Nothing too serious. Mostly the Age of Empires series + WoW + Sims 3. I would like them to run pretty smoothly/no freeze or lag if possible. Anything else to improve my gaming experience is much appreciated.

Thank you!

@Filippi: Wouldn't that need a CPU cooler?

@Marcopolo123: Would that build work for Windows 8 (or Windows 7, if I go with that OS)? And would it be a tight fit in the case you recommend?

You said that you do some editing, I added a 16GB of ram and an Intel Core i7 which helps alot for editing only. Also added a better Video Card, so this card will help you alot for your games. You also wanted 2TB so I added a good priced one. This is also for non-overclocking.

This build doesn't aim exactly at 1200$ just a bit under, but if u want to use a bit more money, I would add an SSD. Whatever u want, but I prefer Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, Kingston SSDNow 120GB or 60GB, or Crucial M500 120GB
