high all, i am thinking about overclocking my gskill sniper ram and was wondering a couple of things. for one, what's the benefit? it's currently at 1600mhz what should i aim for, or just adjust timings, the board i use is an asus z77 sabertooth, and i also wonder if there's a good howto guide on it. thanks for the input!

ok, but what about outside of games, or in my case a game with numerous mods i.e. skyrim.

even with mods, you wouldn't see much of an increase, you would get more out of overclocking a cpu by 100mhz, but if your set on it, sabertooth boards have xmp files that you can select and it clocks it to 1866

so what do you think, stick with what i have at standard settings, or change xmp to 1866? it's sounding a little pointless now to me.

its up to you, its as simple as going to the uefi and changing it and only taking 15 seconds, or jsut leave it the way it is lol
