for gaming/editing the amd is the way to go because it has more cores and heres a little tweak thats alot better :)

Oh Ok, thought that was just 290s in general. Knew reference cards were generally poor.

I believe He'll probably go with your build Maurelle just going to put a i7 4770 in there though as I noticed that the i7 was $10 more so xeon's don't provide much value over in NZ.

Yeah I know, I just feel for $10 the safety net of an iGPU if his 290 fails(which would suck) is worth it so you can still do other PC functions.
