Hi all this is my first post.
As you can see in my profile the specs of my pc i really would like any assistance in choosing the right gpu for this system. I have no probs with the GTX 295 but as some know its EOL and no DX11.

I have never run sli before and know that i can at a later stage(G1 Sniper 3 Killer G-mobo). Would it be beneficial for me to do that? Im sure that would mean i can buy a not so expensive gpu and add one later.
I need to know two things:

1) If i have to buy one gpu which one is suitable for this system config(prob more expensive). I need no bottlenecks. I was thinking of the GTX 760.

2) If I want to go sli later(if at all beneficial pls tell me) would something like the GTX 760 work well Sli mode? Meaning no bottlenecks later if i do upgrade ;)

This is the comparison between the GTX 295 and the GTX 760 (identical...dx11 i know)

Any help would do and comments in this regard would do me well!!
Heres my Specs

Intel i7 3770 CPU
Nivida GTX295 GPU
Seagate 1TB Harddrive
Corsair 16GB 1600MHz RAM
Corsair GS800W PSU
Corsair E-Atx chassis
LG Blu-ray writer
24 INCH LG Flatron

uh your GTX295 already working in SLI. if SLI are not working the performance it is much more like a single GTX275

anyway what is your full system spec? GTX760 definitely faster than your GTX295. right now GTX295 is about equivalent to GTX750 Ti

Ahmadjon Thanx for that tip!
I have to say the 770 looks better though it consumes more power. So the PSU would not be a problem if i want to add another 770 ?
renz496 My GTX 295 is not in SLI.

GTX295 is dual gpu like GTX690. it is "SLI on a single PCB" card.

Those gpus looks very mean. The 4Gb ones. I am really impressed by the great info I received thus far. Really broadens my perception and gives me great options.

Ahhh you are right yes. Totally forgot yes in that sence it is..:pt1cable:

You should be fine with SLI of GTX-770, you have GS-800 and it's good PSU for two GTX-770's, recommended is 850W but you'll be just fine with 800W http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm It also has enough 6+2pin cables!
BTW I also have GS PSU but mine is GS-700!

Sorry for late reply but I need to know other specs of your entire system, PSU, RAM etc,
The best way is selling your PC and building new PC from scratch with i5/i7 CPU and GTX 1060/1070 GPU)

He has 9GB RAM, PSU is not relevant because the 295 has 289W TDP and the GTX 1060 is well below that. I will not recommend GFX more powerful than GTX 970, 980 or 1060 because according to the benchmark of the game "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" (GameGPU site) the PCie 2.0 is about 5% slower than PCIe 3.0 with GTX 1080 for equal CPUs (i5 4670k vs i7 2600k while the 2600k threads are at 80%) .
