I need advice on my new built (wait or buy in advance)

Here is my dilemma, it's time to change my built and I want to do 4K. The case I want is not released yet and is a must. It's the Silverstone Fortress FT05 that would be released around May or June.

Right now the CAD$ is falling, so componnent could get as much as 4% more expensive. So, I would like to buy earlier and I have a nice price over the 290x and the power supply. Should I wait until my parts are all available or should I pick up my PC bit by bit?

What would you do if you were in my place?

My build will be:

Core i7 4770k
MSI Z87 GD65 or Asus Z87 Pro
Fractal Design 1000W PS
2 Powercolor PCS+ 290X in crossfire

Corsair is overly overpriced and overrated... antec produce bad power supplies lately and Seasonic is also having major issues. Fractal Design 1K power supply is certified platinum and way more available in Canada since it is a canadian companie. It is holding well with the companies that you mentioned.

I made a typo, it is a 4770k.

What I'd do is... buy a different case.

There are many good options available now, many with discounts on price. If you are so concerned about a couple percent change to the CAD/USD exchange rate - buy something else now rather than paying another premium for a brand new case as soon as it is released.

I went throught that and the only one I would take is a Silverstone FT02, but they are unavailable, old and expensive... and really heavy so way more expensive to ship.

At 180$, the FT05 is the best decision and is the perfect case for my built. This is a non-debatable point. I am not buying anything else for a case.

Time for a change over the Cosmos S, but if I am to downgrade, better keeping what I have right now.

It is not that 5% is killing me, it is just finding the best macine at the best price is a challenge and a game for me, but now it is time to change even if my actual machine is maxing mostly everything I am throwing at it at 1080p.

Can I ask why you see the FT05 as the perfect case? I'm not trying to debate the point, just curious about what you think makes that case so unique/ideal for you.

Airflow, quietness promised, and the overall look suit me. The new fans they use are extremely attractive and quiet. If I have 2 290X in CF, I obviously need something special. I have a Cosmos S right now. It perform awesomely for any big rig, but it is not quiet at all. I could go for a Phantek case, but I don't plan to use Water Cooling. Also, not everyone can spend 300$ on a case. I can, but why I would if it doesn't offer anything more than what I need. Not to add the airflows of most case are really bad. You need a case so big to counter bad airflow that fans become an issue.

It is offering what I need on paper and the price is really good. I am not settling for anything else.
