I'm currently running a 7770, and am severely aware of the bottle neck occuring. What is the cheapest graphics card that will result in no bottle neck from either the gpu or cpu, even if I OC to 4ghz?

More about : gpu bottleneck 8320 8ghz

that gpu wouldn't bottleneck at all! but if you're looking at something cheap a 750ti or gtx 650ti or r9 270 would do better

Are you sure? I mean, the cpu is pretty powerful compared to the meek, 1gb ddr5 gpu

Define what you consider a bottleneck.

Even with an overall balanced CPU/GPU configuration it will still bottleneck on the CPU (with a generally CPU limited game like starcraft2) or on the GPU (with a more demanding graphics title).

Pick the games you want to play, check the reviews to see if AMD/nVidia work better for those games, figure out your budget, and make your choice.

Well yeah, I imagine it bottlenecking on a game like starcraft. I'm fine with those CPU intense games, its graphics heavy games I want to be able to run. What would be the best choice?

I would hate to use the term "bottleneck" when you simply have an under powered GPU. Like others have suggested, you just need a more powerful card.

What is your budget and what power supply do you have? (Please be specific on PSU. Make & model are necessary)

I'm running a Asus R9 290 DirectCu ii OC with no bottlenecks with a FX 8320 so any graphic card will probably do

My budget is <200$, and I have 600W PSU from Corsair

In all honesty, you could probably purchase a GTX 780ti and still find that graphically intense games will still cause the 780ti to be the "bottleneck". I had dual 7770's in crossfire and replaced them with a GTX 560, and saw an upgrade. They are simply not a good graphics card. Considering you want a cheap card, if you can, purchase the 760, as you will be quite happy with it. Know that it will still be the "bottleneck" of your system though. As Menetlaus stated, there is a large contributing factor as to how a piece of software is written that will decide which component in your rig will be a "bottleneck". I have continually used quotation marks around the bottleneck term purposefully as it has become largely irrelevant due to the fact that hardware efficiencies have become much more dependant on how software is coded than on the actual hardware specs themselves.

If you don't get the R9 270 that ModernWarfare posted, I'd suggest the slightly aged 660 from EVGA.

Edit: Both should work well with the 600w PSU from Corsair. (Assuming the Corsair CX600).

Then a r9 270 or 660 would be perfect for you, or you can get a 760 and spend an extra 50$ it might be worth it
