I currently have a watercooled OC'ed i5-2500K at 4.5Ghz. I had it for probably 2 years and looking for an upgrade. The best I could find for OC is the i5-4670K that could also go to 4.5Ghz. Is it reasonable to get the i5-4670K if they all OC to the same Ghz?

I only know about the raw speed in Ghz and don't understand enough about the other benefits of new CPU's. Can someone elaborate?

It's going to be harder to get a Core i5-4670K to 4.5 GHz than your Core i5-2500K. It does have a bit more performance per clock... but overall it's just not worth the money. I would recommend you wait at least for the Haswell refresh, which is supposedly going to make the CPUs overclock better.
