Will Asus GTX 660 Fit in this case

I'm in the market to upgrade my graphics card and had my eye on the Asus GTX 660
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0098VKIRC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

The only problem is my motherboard is a micro ATX
Specifically this model MS-7613
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c02014355#N74

My case is a standard case from a HPE-360uk HP
(http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c02548733)

I plan on upgrading the PSU to a modular setup to save on some space, but I'm wondering if this card is actually going to fit inside before I buy it.

The card itself is as long as the board (Card size 24.7 x 11.1 x 4 cm) but the position means it may just fit between the space of my drive bays.

I'm wondering if anyone who either has this model PC, or that card, (Preferably both) Would be able to help me know if it would just fit, or would go over the edge/be hitting other parts.

For reference of the actual inside of it. Here's some pics of the current state of the case

I'm not worried about moving the card below down, seeing as it's a double size card width wise. But really i'm just after opinions if trying to fit this is a lost cause or if I may have some chance with a bit of jiggery pokery.

If there's absolutely no way in hell it will fit, can anyone recommend a comparable spec GPU with a smaller size that may fit?
Alternatively, would taking the motherboard out and fitting it into a larger case be easier, and would a micro ATX fit easily into a larger case?

Thanks

  1. It SHOULD fit. It seems to be a custom Case... To check, put a ruler along the Graphics card, and measure the length. If it is 24.7 cm or longer, it will fit.

EDIT, that wiring will get in the way, but since you will be rewiring, the only thing to worry about it the airflow.

I really doubt that the card would fit, because even if there is almost enough space its not enough. If you really want to upgrade the graphics look at either the 750ti which is smaller, a bit weaker, and cheaper or the gtx760 or r270x ITX verisons which are more expensive, but also more powerful
  3. This WILL fit and will offer similar performance. Also, it comes with a free copy of battlefield 4.

  4. Hi! Let me just say, I don't have this case or graphics card. But, it appears it may fit. You'll need approx 10 inches for the new card, and you'll want to put it in the slot currently occupied by the old video card (your only PCI-E 16 slot) Make sure to measure your case from the bracket on your old video card and not from the back of the case. You need to make sure that the mass of cables you have can be moved or re-routed to give you enough room. Also check the height you have available! The new card is 4.5 inches tall, but you'll need additional headroom to plug the PCI-E 6 pin power into the top of it. My cable didn't bend easily and stood too tall. I bought a super flexible extension to allow clearance in the case. Make a cardboard cut out if it helps while you play with the cables.
  5. ^^^ what he said and also measure the thickness of the card. If it's too thick it will conflict with the bottom hard drive.

I decided to just save myself the hassle of risking it and went for the 760 instead after comparing the options suggested. I'm hoping all will be well with it.

If for any reason it doesn't fit when the parts arrive, I'll be sure to post here to inform anyone else planning the same upgrades.

I'm guessing that inside the box there is a BF4 CD key to be redeemed on Origin?

I believe it is from sapphire itself.
