Desktop resolution doesnt match game resolution

so my desktop resolution is 1920x1080 but all the games i play wont let me go above 1366x768 any help would be nice as this is the second time ive posted this.

Same thing is happening right now with me on my 32" TV Specially bought for PC.The thing is your monitor Max resolution is 1366*768 that's HD ( 720P ) Monitor.If you want to play with 1080P.You must have FULL HD Monitor.:bounce:

You should run any game in 1920*1080 with hardware you have:bounce:

already tried. when ever i start a game my screen goes black and resets itself to 1366x768 regardless of my desktop res

You can run dxdiag and provide us the info on the System and Display tabs if want to give us as much info as possible. You might also consider checking for updated drivers for your graphics card in the mean time. Lastly, how are you connecting your PC to your monitor (HDMI, DVI, VGA, etc)?

ive run dxdiag how do i give you the data and im running latest driver it auto updates for me, im running a hdmi active adaptor to vga
