660 sc sli vs 770

I have 2 evga 660 sc's in sli on one of my computers now is it worth selling and getting a 770 or 770 sc? I will want an evga one if I do upgrade.

That depends on you definition of "worth it." A single 780 would outperform the two 660's but it all depends on what you're willing to spend. The other advantage of the single card is that you have room to add a second one in two or three years when they're cheaper, plus it consumes less power and gives off less heat.

Right now, I'd say that no, there isn't anything worth the money that could really beat it by a significant margin. Of course, some high end GPU in SLI would beat your cards by a lot, but, is it really worth spending $800+ ? I personally don't think so. Your 2 cards in SLI are not too far from some of the best single GPUs on the market right now.

I have two 660's in SLI in one of my machines, and when I did the research when I got them, they were very close to a single 680 in most cases. Since a 770 is about the same as a 680, I would say if yo u can break even..yes go for since you will be getting a new card and can always add another 770 later. But I dont think you will see much improvement over all. But, I have seen EVGA GTX 660 sc selling for around $120 so not sure how close you can get to the cost of a 770. But, if I could trade/sell both my 660's for 770 I would if I could be close to even..otherwise, I will wait for the next gen to come out.
