Hey Guys,

Im planning to build a gaming pc for....gaming (duh). I intend to play games like BF4 and Crysis 3 on Maxed out settings with fluent FPS : 40-60. So after intensive researching I selected these parts for the rig. What I want to ask is :

1. Is this good enough for the afore mentioned gaming criteria?
2. Is it future proof for atleast 3 years? (I dont mind if I have to play FUTURE titles in High or Medium graphics)
3. Are all the parts intercompatible? Like, will everything fit into the casing nice and proper and will all the other components (GPU,CPU etc) fit on the Mobo?
4. Any other advice or recommendations you might want to give :D

These are the Specs of the rig :

- Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
- MSI Z87-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
- Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (CML8GX3M2A1600C9B)
- Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
- Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card (GV-N760OC-2GD REV2.0)
- Corsair CX 500W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply (CX500M)

You might want to get an SSD for increased performance. Get a 120GB just for the OS or a 256GB for some games on there as well. Keep the 1TB for documents and stuff though.

The GTX 760 won't be able to play Crysis 3 maxed out at 40-60 fps. You'd need a 770 or better a 780 for that.

Also if you overclock get a aftermarket CPU cooler
You will not max games with this build. The GPU is too weak.

Change the CPU to an i5 4440 and the motherboard to an h87 board. Use the saved money to get a gtx770. Then you should be able to max most games.

Change the PSU. That unit is average at best. Get an XFX550 unit. It is MUCH MUCH better quality. The CX, CS, RM units from Corsair are not great at all.

There's no such thing as future proofing. It doesn't matter if you're spending $500 or $5000 on a rig.

I definitely agree about the power supply, but the Corsair CX series are definitely not average - they're extremely sub par, especially for having the Corsair name on them.
