As I know its quite low specs-but as i need more modern components such as a new Gpu (asus gtx 770) I felt this was a good choice or is it still an overkill? I will also upgrading cpu ssd and probably a disk drive. Maybe a 600W instead

Wow, ok i will go for a 500 quite a bit cheaper too !
Appreciated, Joe

P.S the mobo is a lga 1156 socket so very old thats the reason of the question as the mobo and other components are ancient.

the connections should be ok, but if they're not you can always buy adaptor leads that will fit and you just connect to a molex lead from the power supply, your only looking at a few quid off ebay for any adaptor leads thats if u ever need any!

Thanks, I might go for this one then. So compatibility is an ok then even if my mobo is so old?

Just to be on the safeside ;)

Great idea as it will guarantee you'll be grounded and you won't mess up any of the components.
