Back up your files before starting. There is no direct upgrade path from 32-bit to 64-bit (or vice versa). Only a clean installation is possible.

You cannot do this. You would have to backup all your files and programs, reinstall Windows, and then replace your files. It's not a very complicated process but it is pretty tedious.

Use windows easy transfer to export your files and settings.
You need to do a clean install of 64 bit.
Then you can import back all or part of your files and settings.
You will get a report on the apps which need to be reinstalled.
Take this as an opportunity to install a SSD.
