Hard drive gpu and power switch

Wd 160g hdd wouldn't boot up, would give me boot disk failure, insert boot disk and press enter but took it out and inspected the drive put it back in and it worked so I reinstalled my windows and turned off the PC to move it turned it back on same issue, tried different things connections etc etc worked one more time then froze once windows loaded. Now the power button only works to turn it on not off , reset doesn't work and my gpu fan is blowing full blast and not displaying video halp...

IDE cable with a big wide ribbon cable with 40 [ or 80 ] wires?

You could try a new cable . Thats usually the problem with IDE . But if its a SATA HDD your smart move is buy a new hard drive. $60 gets you a drive with much more space
