Toshiba Laptop Boot problem?

I have A toshiba satellite Laptop which im Renting from Colortyme which is a rent a center type of place.Brand new.It was working well for about 6 months until yesterday.For some reason the computer started data deleting files,Now when i turn on the computer it brings me to Microsoft windows factory restore.The options are restore system to factory settings,Disk utilities and exit..I clicked RestoreSettings than it would say "drive to be restored c"i continue, then it will do this "erasing data" activity for ten minutes than it reboots only to find my self back at the same menu every single time!Can anyone help me out?i use the laptop for school and all my files are on this computer..


PS i tried the other options and got nowhere..

These odd symptoms can certainly be associated with a failing hard drive. On another computer, you can download this diagnostic software, burn it to a CD and boot from it:

If you have Windows 7 or higher, just right-click on the downloaded .iso file and select "burn to disk" (with a blank CD in the drive). Then insert the CD into the laptop and at bootup press F12 to get to a boot menu. Select the DVD drive from the list of options.

As to the data, it may be hard to rescue. First, anything on a failing drive can be at risk and also, if the factory reset did format the drive that data has been deleted.
