Hi there,

This is the first time I'm actually building a computer by myself and I'm a little nervous if all the components I'm purchasing are compatible or if there are other better options. A few notes before listing them:

- I'm actually not buying the components from newegg, I'm buying them locally in EU but I'm posting newegg links because many people are very familiar with their website and it'll be easier to see all the details for each product
- I would like this new desktop to perform really well at recording video game footage at the highest settings and then editing it in After Effects. I'll be using 2 SSD HDs because often game footage can take a lot of space and I want to be able to both record and then do the editing pretty fast. I plan on spending a lot more time in After Effects and I would really like to speed up render times.
- I would like to be able to use 2 separate monitors with my desktop. An example would be one monitor having the video game I'm playing or the software I'm using full screen and the other monitor would have some web page opened or something like that. I don't plan on playing any games in full screen on both monitors.

So long story short, is there anything else that I need to buy which I missed? Are the components I plan on buying compatible? Would you suggest replacing any of the components I picked with something else and why?

Thank you very much in advance for any help.

Yeah I know there's the Intel Core i5-4670K and the "K" means it's unlocked for overclocking? I've never actually done it before, overclock a system that is. Is it something worth it and not a whole lot difficult to do? Thanks for your reply!

It more daunting that easy. All you do is mess with some numbers in essence. I wouldn't be the one to talk to however. Get the K version, and when you feel you are ready, go for it. No need to spend 200+ in the future.

Sorry, that was a typo, I'm going for 2 x 8GB for a total of 16. Would you still suggest that or would that be ok?

Get a 2 x8 kit, not two single packages of the same. Kits are tested together and work better together. You can probably get 1866 for around the same price, no reason to get the bare minimum RAM.
