AMD cards do tend to be power hungry. 600W should be more than sufficient. Watch sites like Amazon, TigerDirect, and Newegg for deals. You'll find something worthwhile. Be sure to read reviews. There are a lot of poor manufacturers.

Best of luck.

Check the link below. Get yourself at minimum a bronze rated PSU with at least 600 watts and 35 amps on the 12 volt rail. Of if your gonna xfire or upgrade down the road, consider at minimum a silver rated PSU at 800 watts with the same amps on the 12 volt rail. Personally, I like and use the Seasonic X series.

Just remember to never got cheap on your PSU.

I don't know if I am comfortable with the price of the X-Series. I have been looking at Seasonic M12II 750W (SS-750AM2) and XFX 750w XXX (P1-750X-XXB9), both seem to be the same unit. Any other suggestions at this relative level? I will probably never crossfire or buy a top of the line GPU/CPU. I'll upgrade in about 5 years to something around the same high mid-range level as I am now. Do you think a Bronze 80+ 750W power supply is a good match?

Yeah the Seasonic X line is very pricey. I think either Bronze unit will be fine for what you want.
