so another dilemma resents itself
in looking for an optical drive (internal, SATA interface) for my build, I'm looking to get one that supports the "ancient" task of Lightscribe. While I know that lightscribe is dying, it would be nice to be able to continue to label all my work data discs in the same fashion that I have done in the past (again, the OCD stuff...there's no way I'll be able to switch labeling methods after 15 years & continue with the "new method" for yet another 12 or so years...my mind shudders at even the thought)
The problem that is presenting itself is that while there are quite a few to choose from, according to the manufacturers (Asus, Lite-on & LG are the ones I've checked), when I find one that interests me, no one carries it. everything I"ve found is either discontinued or there are not even any retailers/online sellers listed.
Does anyone have any suggestions of AVAILABLE optical drives that support lightscribe? Blu-ray is not necessary, in fact, I'd rather not spend the extra for a BR unit, but if it's all that's available then......
