Hello,
I wanted to include a Sapphire Radeon R7 265 2GB GDDR5 DVI-I / DVI-D / HDMI / DP Dual-X PCI-Express Graphics Card in my new build however, it requires extra power from a 1x6 pin connector.
What is a 1x6 pin connector and where does it plug in? From the power supply to the GPU or pose supply to motherboard. Could you recommend a cheap motherboard that supports this?

However, I should add, that you need to make sure the power supply can actually provide enough power for that video card and the rest of your computer.

That video card will need 103W on the +12v rail:

Look on the side of your powersupply for this sticker or tell me what model you have:

Also, can you give me a link to the model video card you are wanting to purchase, just to make sure I got the right one?

Also, what processor do you have now (this is important in telling how much power you use)?

Also, what video card do you have now (this will tell how much you are using now... and you can safely get a card that uses the same amount of power)?

Yeah, that power supply & GPU & CPU combo should work.

So, you are building a totally new system, right?

In that case, look for a "Socket FM2" motherboard with a PCI Express graphics card slot.

I have to go right now, but maybe someone can recommend a specific model.

Note: The connectors for your video card come with your power supply. They are the red ones in this picture, I think:

Oh I also have an Antec PSU. They usually have labels on the end of the connector and you should see PCI-e on it or something. Just plug it into the 1x6 pins. If you need to merge 2 connectors, just press them together on the end of the connectors side by side until you hear a snap.

The 6 pin connector isn't connected to the motherboard, but to the graphics card.
