How much will my computer use in Watts

Hello!

How much watts will my computer use? Here are my specs:

Motherboard: Z87-G41
CPU: i7 4700K 3.5 ghz w/ stock fan/heatsink
Hard drive: Samsung EVO 120 gb
DVD Drive: LG GH24NSBO
Ram: 8gb Crucial Ballistic Sport
GPU: MSI Twinfrozr 750

A 750 needs about 50-60W, an i7 4770k needs about 80W, at peak load you probably pull about 260-300W from the wall depending on PSU efficiency, practically you are going to be around 220-260W for a normal load condition. Idle you should be <80W

So how much would I use? a 550? A 750?

I wouldn't get less than a 550W PSU mostly because it will restrict your upgrade paths in the future if you want to move up to a more powerful GPU. You can pick up an XFX 550W PSU for a good price right now, it will power that system with any single GPU and will last you long into the future.

Would this information translate to using solar panels to run a computer? 3 to 500 watts seems like an awful lot to run a computer. Thought this might give me an idea about what it would take. Would also need to take into consideration a wifi modem for Internet connectivity. Am looking into a rural hideaway and would like to have the option to go satellite to connect on occasion.
