I have a home server with 6 HDD's, attached to a raid card, in a pretty tight case. my CPU is an intel xeon E3 1260L. The case seems pretty hot to me. I have Real Temp GT running and the temps sit at around 53-56 C. should this be a concern? Over the last year or so I have had 3 drives fail, I figured it was just the bad pick of the litter, could the heat be a factor?

thanks

Solution
I run an antec 900 3x 120mm fans plus a 200mm in the top. Plenty of room for up to 6 (I think) HDD and 2 CD/DVD bays. side venting for another 120mm fan mount as well.
If your CPU and/or specially your HDDs are constantly at 53-56ºC is a clear signal of a bad airflow/cooling in the case.

Make sure all fans in your case are properly working, consider adding a few more for intake because it seems the case isn't getting enough fresh air inside.

Also if space allows it, always use HDD coolers for each HDD, that will prolong the lifetime of your disks.
