Hey guys,

So I just installed a software called Infinite Screen (http://ynea.futureware.at/cgi-bin/infinite_screen.pl) and I wanted to uninstall it because it became quite annoying. When I headed to control panel to uninstall it, the program didn't pop up in the list. When I deleted the .exe the functions of the software were still active. Is there any other way I can uninstall this software? Re-installing the OS is not an option.

Thanks.

Solution
ok,lets treat this as malware.download and run a scan with malwarebytes.delete anything it comes up with and post a log here.also do an antivirus scan and quarantine anything it comes up with.post this log as well so we can see what we are up against.once i see these logs we can plan the next step.

did it show up on your programs list in the start menu? some programs have their own uninstaller and do not show up in the control panel>programs and features.once you use its uninstaller use a program like ccleaner to get rid of the remnants.if you use the registry cleaner make sure to backup your registry when prompted.

The program didn't come with an uninstaller, and it isn't in the start menu.

if it shows up in revo by all means uninstall that way,but it sounds like this one is hiding.if revo doesnt work try typing the name of the program into your search bar in the start menu.delete any files that pertain to that program that come up.post back and let us know.

yup... I have the same feeling :( it may not show up in Revo too, but try it and see otherwise as aldan said delete the files, but that itself would not be enough, I think you'll have to cleanup the registry too

yep,by all means the registry will need a cleanup.i do mine manually for the most part but if you are not comfortable doing this i would use ccleaner and backup your registry when prompted to do so.for my registry backups i use registry backup from tweaking.com.the one that comes with ccleaner will work as well.

Nothing in regedit as well... I think the software changes files in the OS itself... What it does is when you move your mouse to the right of the screen or left, it moves all applications out of the screen, making it seem like your desktop is infinitely big.

Thanks, malwarebytes really helped. I should have done a scan earlier, I had like 300 infected files...

i would like you to run a couple more programs to be sure.its hard to do this without seeing the logfiles tho.kinda like driving blind.lol. download adwcleaner and run a scan with it.delete anything it comes up with.post a logfile if you can.

next download scan and delete anything that comes up with junkware removal tool. log would be nice from this as well.
