Hey guys, i just recently noticed something about my CPU temps. they are fine while doing browsing and everything really, but when I start playing Battlefield 4 they go all the way up to 90-100 Degrees Celcius. I am a bit worried and am wondering if this is normal for a 4670k. The CPU hast been over clocked yet. The rest of the specs are below. Plus are the Haswell chips built to sustain temps. of up to 90-100? Please Let me know. Thanks :) -I found out the Temps. using CoreTemp.

CPU: i5-4670k
MOBO: Msi Z87-G45-Gaming
GPU: Gigabyte R9-270X OC 4GB
COOLER: NZXT Respire T40 Cooler (with stock fan and Thermal paste only)

Solution
it could be one of the following-
1.the cooler might not be connected to the motherboard properly and might not be touching the cpu.
2.the fan could be stopped by a wire.
3.the thermal compound might be poorly applied, either too much or too little.

in most cases it is the first issue.

battlefield 4 is intense on the cpu due to frostbite 3.its like running prime.
the temps you should be seeing is around 70.
have you enabled intel xmp profile in the bios to overclock memory?
sometimes it overclocks your cpu as well resulting in higher temps.
but first check if the cpu cooler is seated properly like abeer72 mentioned above

Thanks man, no.1) seemed to be the problem, i tightened all the screws and tested BF4 again and it now runs at 65-70 Degrees as John93 Said. I was a bit worried about the temps. before as i want my PC to last as long as possible.
