my monitor keep going on power save

bought a Dell crystal 22" was working when he demonstrated it , when I got it on my PC pluged it in the HDMI port it goes to power save, my old screen is on the VGA & works perfectly

listen it goto power safe even when u just dont connect anything but connecting power only to monitor right?
so change uer hdmi cable. it should work.
