I'm new in building a PC and I want games look good. I got Intel i5 4670k and spending much for the motherboard that can overclock. My question is does overclocking is good for me because I want my PC to last above 5 years (the year that can I have money) I research and found that intel i5 4670k is just a little difference between stock and overclocked. I have a old native monitor LG Flatron w1942te that has native reso of 1366x768, I know its low but I'm planning to buy new one.

you probably don't need to overclock but you can do.

It doesn't hurt the PC if you keep it at a safe temperature, make sure you get a nice cooler and what Motherbord do you have?

For games, you could overclock the graphics card(s) if you wanted a better gaming experience. If you found that the CPU was a bottleneck, then overclock it. Overclocking for the sake of it is only academic and increases your power bill.
