I have the price list of all the pc stuff here https://www.dropbox.com/s/in6z6g0en4yjf0e/Pc%20Theme%20...
My budget for the PC Build is SGD 1000
I would like to play games like BF4 on Ultra settings if possible :/
I would like to get a Window 8.1 but I saw this Windows 8.1 Pro Student
The great features of Windows 8.1, plus easy connections to school networks and data encryption.

Important: Windows 8.1 full version is for Windows 7 users only.
Student priceSG$89.99 incl. GST
Does it meant I have to get Windows 7 in order to use Windows 8.1 Pro Student?
I really need you guys to help me in this :(

More about : custom build sgd1000 noob stuff

According to one of our moderators, you must be running Windows 7 as the Windows 8.1 Pro Student Edition offer is an upgrade: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1979735/window...

I would contact Microsoft and ask them if there is a Full Version of Windows 8.1 Pro Student. If there is, you don't need any previous version of Windows for that.

According to this page there is a Full Version (look at the box): http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msuk/en_GB/pdp/prod...

"Important: Windows 8.1 full version is for Windows 7 users only"

Where did you read that? Please provide link to relevant page.

I would recommend windows 7 64bit (IMO windows 8 is useless unless you have a touch screen) they only sell OEM versions now which isn't a big deal just means you can only get it for one PC

Mobo- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

CPU- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... (I chose this one because it is a quad core and unlocked for easy overclocking)

GPU- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

RAM- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

HDD- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

PSU- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

CASE- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... (I recommend removing this PSU as the 12v rails have a low amperage you could make some money back on the case by selling it)

CPU COOLER (not needed unless you are planning on doing overclocking)- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Thermalpaste (not needed unless you replace OEM cooler but still recommended for maximum cooling- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

this build was put together with a budget in mind your total including shipping would be $608.91 USD before rebates which is around 774.64 SGD so that gives you some room to play around with stuff I hope this helps also I chose a FM2 socket because they are cheaper than the AM3 sockets but as I said since it is under your budget it gives you room to play around
