What's microphone impedance?

What's microphone impedance? I saw that under the specs of the headset I may buy, it said that it had 2.2k ohms of impedance; what does that mean in terms of sound levels and does it really have an affect whether it was 2.2k ohms or 22.2k ohms?

I honestly didn't realize I did that; after I filled out the "ask the community" form, I saw an orange button that basically wanted me to refill my question, but I thought it was normal or something

No worries, this particular forum software can be a bit frustrating sometimes. Easy to post twice if your new here. Wish they would get either the software or the server sorted out - sometimes it freezes or can't find the page I was just on! Doesn't happen on any of my other forums so I know it's not my system.

Haha, yea.I hope I don't run into anymore other problems while I'm here, but I guess I'll eventually get used to this site :). I'll make sure not to double-post anymore; it makes me feel weird knowing that other people think I'm a spammer for some reason :p Thanks for the help though!!
