My aunt has a desktop she bought from Dell that came with Windows XP on it a few years back. With the support for XP ending soon she wants to upgrade to Windows 7. My question is can you buy a "system builder" copy of W7 and install in that way or do I have to find an actual Upgrade disc? I ask mainly because some places don't even show the upgrade copies anymore. While when I do find them they are usually slightly higher in price then the OEM version.
I did happen to find this. It does seem like it would work with upgrading from XP to 7, that's from reading the fine print in red. Anyone wanna try to clear up if that's right?
