Hi, I have a asus sabre tooth motherboard and a i5 3570k CPU. I would like to upgrade my current ram which is 8gb at 1066mhz, to 16gb or keep the 8 but have some of a good fast speed but I am a total noob at pc's. I've looked in my manual for help but I don't really understand it , any help would be appreciated thanks

Go to pcpartpicker site. Select your motherboard and then use the "Add RAM" option. You can select what characteristics you want (speed, size, # of sticks, etc.) and it will list compatible RAM. However, I recommend going to the memory manufacturers website for what you are interested in and use their memory finder/configurator program/app to verify it is compatible with your motherboard. Simply tell it what motherboard you have and it will list all the compatible memory they make for it.

Thanks for the fast replies. Not sure what the exact make and stuff is of the ram it's just cheap nasty stuff out my old PC , was the only part I never upgraded last time around, il check pc part picker out now.and I think it's props best if I stick with 8 and just upgrade the speed, thanks again
