Need Help Extremely With Cooling

I had the H100I and it seemed pretty ****, nothing helped me with temps, I tried new paste and different positions and even washers for the back plate, nothing helped.

I want to get the NH-D14 but I need to know if it will fit, I don't want to be liquid cooled at this moment in time, never had good temps with it it...


This is what I have,

Intel Core i7-4770K
Asus MAXIMUS VI HERO
Corsair 8GB (2 x 4GB) Vengeance Pro Red
Corsair Vengeance C70 PC Gaming Case


So will it fit would you think? If not what is another good one to get that will give me low temps and overclock it a bit?

no it wont air cooling is better and alot quieter than watercooling. the cm hyper evo 212 is only 29.99 at pc part picker. i recommend it im at 4.6 Ghz with it and at 55c load.

The Hyper 212 Evo is going to be a big downgrade from the H100i in cooling potential.

How were your temps and what was your issue with them? How much of an OC do you have going? With a 150W load a Hyper 212 Evo will show about 6C higher temperatures than the H100i with stock fans.

Thanks so much, I might pick that one up first and test it out :) Can you recommend a good thermal paste I uses all mine..

My temps with the h100i were reaching nearly 100c and nothing would help it at all.. And this was with no overclock, before that they would reach 70 and then when I tried to fix it nothing would help it
