Is Core Temp accurate?

I just overclocked my Fx-6300 using my ASUS M5A97 r2 mobo to 4.0 Ghz and i run prime95 and it shows 58c on ASUS AI Suite II but on core temp it shows 48c max. So which one is correct? and is 58c on full load is bad?

Additional information:
On idle
Core Temp shows around 20c
ASUS AI Suite II shows around 30c

Coretemp only reads the core temps of the cpu, the reading from ai suite would be the socket temp, both are acceptable temps.

Max socket temp - 70
Max core temp - 62
