Hey there.. I posted a while back because I was having issues with an HD5770.. I since got my self a Palit GT630 which had VGA port on it so all problems gone. One day however, out of boredom I decided to put my DVI-I -VGA adapter into it, low and behold.. No signal.. Now I have 3 cards that have the exact same DVI-I ports but only the GT7600 works and I have a lovely working HD5770 with only DVI-I and HDMI ports :( .. I know I am going to need a new screen but I just dont understand how the DVI-VGA adapter works with one card but not the others that also have DVI-I.. Its really frustrating. Does anyone know why this might be at all?.

Ahh I see :) .. So is there anyway of converting this without having to fork out for a new monitor I wonder.. Cos if i have to get another monitor that will be me waiting for Santa haha..

Thanks for the reply though man, clears things up a lot.

There are active digital-to-analog-adapters, like this one: http://www.club-3d.com/index.php/products/reader.en/product/displayport-to-vga-adapter.html
Don't go for the cheaper ones! The picture quality is horrible!
