Hello,

I have 2 gpus (7970/5970) and both and many more (7950, 280x) are not detected by my mobo/display. My crappy 5670 is detected and working well thou..
I removed all the 7900 series files .
Is there something else I need to do?

Let me know
thanks!

Solution
You have the 7970 and 5970 in at the same time? U cannot have these cards working together in one system as their gpus dont match and cant work together. Only two + 7970, or 5970s can run together and in the case of the 280x and 7970 there both the same gpu so they will work together but not the 7970 and 7950 or 280x and 7950. Even if you got the cards to be recognized by the OS they would prob wouldnt do anything other than being detected.

If the cards dont match model number they will not work together other than the 7970 and 280x and some lower end amd cards.

Actually they should run just not in Xfire.

Nope they are not xfired or put together at the same time. There were tested 1 by 1
the system just doesn't recognize any of my high end cards.
Is there anything i should be doing to ensure a clean thorough removal of all the old drivers?
