I have a Thermaltake 1050W PSU that has 8 pin modular female connectors on the back. The modular cables supplied with this unit included a SATA power cable with a 6 pin male connector. There is no way to power my SATA drives unless I can reduce the 8 pin connector to a 6 pin female. Any suggestions would be welcome.

There are 6 red 8 pin connectors on the back of the Thermaltake Tough Power Grand 1050, those aren't the connectors you want, down below them there are 4 black 6 pin connectors that the peripheral cables plug into

Yeah. Thanks! Mr. Stupid here just looked more closely and saw what he had first assumed were cooling vents to actually be what I was needing. Nothing like feeling like an idiot! Thanks for your reply though. Its good to know that there are people like you who can steer me in the right direction when I've lost my way.I hope no one else sees this thread or if they do they'll learn what I did.
