Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: sometime in the next few weeks

Budget Range: 1000-1200ish USD after shipping

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, internet, maybe lightcoin mining

Are you buying a monitor: No, I have two.

Do you need to buy OS: Grabbing one cheap through work

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com amazon.com

Location: OK, USA

Parts Preferences: intel processors, ati gpus

Overclocking: Probably

SLI or Crossfire: Yes, if the upper price cap allows

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: The quieter, the better, but doesn't need to be silent. Probably going to run with the Corsair R4. My 128gb SSD just broke, so I'll probably need a new boot drive. I also don't need keyboard/mouse.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: my current build is 6+ years old isn't keeping up. I'd also like to finally take advantage of the fast SSDs.

This is a nice starting point,
http://www.techbuyersguru.com/1000build.php
and since you're getting a cheap os, and are willing to spend closer to 1200, I would recommend upgrading the GPU to a gtx 770 or 780, and you'd definitely want a cpu cooler to overclock. This is a decent one, and it's not too expensive

And if you really want to push the limits of your processor, the Noctua NH-D14 is a fantastic cooler.

-Unlocked Intel processor for overclocking.
-Quiet, but strong, cpu cooler. One of the best air cooler you can get.
-240gb SSD for boot drive.
-1tb HDD for storage.
-GTX 770 can max out any game at 1080p. Although it's not an AMD card, I would still get this over any AMD card right now because cryptocurrency miners drove up the price of AMD cards to be absurdly high.
-Quiet case.
-High quality psu with plenty wattage to run this build overclocked. Also modular.
