Is the AMD FX 8320 good? Also does it need a good cooler (like liquid cooling?) or can I just stick with the stock cooler? Also are the eight cores overkill? Is anything going to use them or should I just get a quad core (like the FX 4350?).

No don't even touch it, I am/was an AMD fan myself, never thought I would get an Intel i5-4670k... I bought the fx-8350 and that chip didn't even catch up with intel i3, I sold the fx and bought intel i5 4670k...no comparison mate, I was so angry and pissed off that I changed my plans of getting an AMD GPU as well... I have visions of love and hate for AMD...now look at this http://www.hardwarepal.com/best-cpu-gaming-9-processors-8-games-tested/

stock cooler isnt bad it will do the job as long as you dont overclock or you dont live in a really hot area but yah a hyper 212 evo for 35$ is the best cooler for the price and will keep that thing around 30-35c unload max
