Front USB 2.0 and back USB 3.0 not working on Gigabyte H81M-D2V?

I have just built a PC and for some unknown reason the rear USB 3.0 ports don't work. Also my front USB 2.0 ports don't work. However the USB 2.0 ports on the back work. Is this just a easy fix by installing drivers or is something wrong with the board? As said in title I am using a Gigabyte H81M-D2V.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :) thank you

H81 Chipset:
- Up to 2 USB 3.0/2.0 ports (available through the internal USB header)
- Up to 6 USB 2.0/1.1 ports (2 ports on the back panel, 4 ports available through
the internal USB headers)
ŠŠ VIA® VL805 chip:
- Up to 4 USB 3.0/2.0 ports on the back panel

There are USB 2.0 headers that need to be connected with a cable for the front USB 2.0 ports to work. The Intel and VIA USB 3.0 drivers are available to download on the Gigabyte product support page.
