i currently use 2 gbs of ram on my computer and i can still play bf4 on low settings. however, there is a lot of lag and buffering. should i increase the ram to 4gbs and will the lag stop?

Keep in mind badboyrog2 that his/her motherboard may not support 8 GBs of RAM.

Yes, you will see better performance with 4 GBs of RAM to answer your question. The lag won't necessarily stop but it might get a bit better, and it'll be an upgrade to overall performance anyway.
