Hello everyone
I know that there is probably many questions floating around like this and your sick of seeing them, I'll try to make this quick.
I'm looking for a laptop that can handle the day to day workings of a student (business, so lots of essay writing) but can also play games like Civ 5 and SimCity on a good setting.
I'm not fussed on what brand it may be.
Budget can probably stretch to around £650

If you need any more info just let me know.
Thanks

Hi
Thanks for the link. I was just wondering if the way it is already configured would be the best for me or should creating things be tweaked.
(Sorry mate, I have zero knowledge)

not a problem buddy the changes you need to make in order to get the best stuff for the cosmos 15.6" or 17.3 (you decide) £650 are:
the first is optional : if you want a full 1080p screen then its going to cost you for the 15.6" (the 17" I don't really like) but if you don't want it then click the second option out of 3 (matte 1920x1080)
if you've got a 1080p screen, then get the I3 4100M (the third option down)
next is 8 GB RAM ( the third option down)
Graphics card: you want to click the second option - the gtx 850M
and that gets you to exactly £650. assuming you live in the UK
the rest can be kept the same
hope this helps.

Love the look of the Acer Aspire but it says the processor is only 1.6GHz.
The recommended specs to play SimCity is like 2.3GHz how would this affect the gameplay.
(The laptop itselfe looks sleek as f**k too, kudos for that)
