Just bought a 600$ computer and pluged it into my monitor and it says no signal.


I took the vga cable and pluged it into my laptop and it appeared on the screen but when I plug the vga cable into my new computer the screen goes black.
help

It came with some cd's but i dont know what they do.

Obvious question
Does the new PC have a seperate graphics card and if so have you connected screen to graphics card or integrated graphics which are located in the back plate where the USB, network , ps/2 and integrated VGA out are located

Many modern graphics cards do not have VGA (15 pin) socket
Possibly dvi with adapter to VGA provided


If you have problems ask the seller for advice and read spec to see if integrated graphics only or graphics card in PCI-e slot

Monitor problem. Connections must have been severed. Check on the back of it adn the graphics card I/O
